We dont celebrate wedding anniversary & dont bother to remember the date either cause it’s not significant. I’m the one that pluck the date out of thin air to suit our relatives in M’sia.

We instead remember 10th of July. The fated date when I go chasing this stranger for his phone number.

Btw, Schellen, I’m reading between the line here. Is my congratulation due? Has dd2 finally arrived?

BlurBee, thanks! Dunno how long I will be SAHM this time.

EN, not yet. But getting reaaaallly uncomfortable and tiring. My hips give out at night so I end up walking (if you can call that shuffling walking) like an old woman after 7pm or so.

          Hi,

You mean, you will quit your job to be SAHM for DD2?

I have already quit my job so am currently a SAHM but dunno if I will be SAHM until DD2 can go to infant care (very very ex and a bit out of the way) or until DD2 can go to CCC. My ex-job was not family-friendly in terms of working hours and environment.

Do let us know when dd2 joins the family. 😉

Wow, that's a really big sacrifice you did for your newborn.
Don't think i'll have the courage to quit my job like dat.

                Enjoy your newborn! :celebrate:

                  Thanks everyone!

I don't see it as a sacrifice on my part since I'll probably be worrying about my baby if I send her to infant care or nanny, or worse, hire a maid. I think I'll have a mental breakdown and probably end up being unable to breastfeed so this is the best way. I think it's more a sacrifice for sashimi financially. Anyway, now kill 2 birds with 1 stone since DD1 will stop going to BASC too.

Ooooiiii... say until lidat.... 😢 If this household I don't worry about the finances, who is going to? I gave you my blessing to quit because it broke my heart to see you so depressed about work, which will also affect DD2. I would rather lose your share of the household income than that.

And yes the thing about infantcare. For the longest time I could not console myself with the idea of sending DD2 to infantcare while we both work. It makes NO SENSE. It is simply ILLOGICAL, from a parenting point of view. No baby should have to be raised by a stranger, not even a nanny.

So, given this combination of factors, the best path was this.

And remember our deal about being the Mommy and Wife from Heaven. And home-cooked food.

Ya, actually the best part about staying home is the nutritious home-cooked food.
Every since the maid took over the kitchen, the food is always... okay, but loads of room for improvemet
Though she has already followed my receipe and way of cooking.

DD1 has already enjoyed a bit of the home-cooked food. She's a tough one to cook for. One moment she will eat capsicums and the next moment, she will reject them, stating that she ate them the first time since she didn't want me to be sad. :stupid:

I remember cooking for sashimi when I was a SAHM back then and pregnant with DD1. That was a much easier job since I could try my hand at anything and get an honest feedback. My repertoire could also be more varied. Now, I have to be more creative with DD1 within a limited repertoire. (Or I could just \"threaten\" her with my mom's cooking.)
