Sometimes I'm more worried to hear the word 'easy'. Afraid they tend to let their guards down. DS a bit like this.......smiled & told me easy peasy during his prelim, end up lost 6m due to careless mistakes on really simple questions. :slapshead:

In fact, higher ability students are hoping for tougher papers. Easy papers mean it becomes very costly to make careless mistakes.

        Can't agree more!
As long as a child is good in a particular subject, they (or the parents) would be ok if the paper for that particular subject is tougher. If careless mistakes are costly for HA, it is equally costly for the average kids isn't it??

From what i see, not all high ability kids are strong in every subject, same for GEP kids. Mainstream kids are also not weak in every subject, some are really strong in some subjects too.

Ha ha! I have already packed away his stuff, leaving only some notes for the younger one. Now only left Science and Chinese on his table, ready to be sent away.... to the recycling bin downstairs.
