:rotflmao: I see what you did there.
Yup. There's only the weak when it comes to sex. (outside marriage) -

Woah! So in an adultery case where there is a married man and a married woman involved, only the man will undergo corporal punishment (women don't get caned) and has to go throuh chemical castration (women can't be castrated)?Whether there is actually a corruption or some fancy conspiracy going on, based on the evidences there are no doubt that a extramarital tryst did take place. Both Gay and Cecilia are equally guilty and would have hurt countless people in their families.
How I wish Singapore criminalises adultery with corporal punishment as deterrent. I feel adultery is even more serious than rape and the punishment should be severe. Maybe chemical castration should be mandatory for adulterers. -
Dreamaurora:
Big Irony.
Well, minor crimes such as pickpocketing already warrant jail term and it does not really cause much hurt. EMA causes a lot of hurt and yet not a criminal offense, so kind of irony right? -
Can't imagine if Gay is found guity and for some reason has to serve time in prison. He may be sharing a cell with some of the guys he helped put behind bars.
Then late one night.....wo, wo, wo, wo, wo, oppa prison style! :imcool: -
Scorpion:
No, I think both parties must be castrated, either chemically or surgically.

its strange bcoz to many pple, love has a on/off switch.
It's strange that the DWs of those accused will accompany them to court right? They seem to really stand by their men, or are very forgiving...atrecord:

I told dh that if i am the wife and the dh actually does such things, I will not follow him to court.
It can be switched off at will the moment the man does something wrong..
Maybe Gay's wife don't have on/off switch.
So even if he did something wrong, the love & affection & duty remains and she stand by him all the way.[/quote]
The wife, is needed, in this case by the defense team; to help portray to the court a believable/honest/lawful man her hubby is....
This is the most important role she ever played in her hubby's life, ever.
She can reject the role of being throw into the spotlight, but what good has she got if her hubby is found guilty? She got more to lose...
By any standard, this marriage is already over.... what is left now is responsibility/accountability and something silly called, faith. -

I'll say most likely too lazy to delete....
that guy's well trained professional background for years alert him, make him smart.tankee:
Maybe she purposely turned prosecution witness, changed her statements, forgot about the SMS, make herself looks like the bad person, so as to protect the man she love?
That guy so daring, to keep such SMS in mobile ....
he kept all the SMS in his mobile as future evidence ... in case one fine day he need them to prove a point across. And it did !
Nowadays, the phone can store almost unlimited SMS.. who bothers to delete them really? -

next time if you’ve a daughter, don’t name her "Cecilia" nor "Sue"
what is the maximum longest period that can store SMS, for future retrieval one day ?
for years ? -
Lilac66:
