No need full day at tropical fruit world. Other places to explore include Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary n Superbee Honey World.

If weather permits, how about spending some time on the beach? Hv a picnic, enjoy the sand and water. Just make sure that each family member don on sunglasses and slap on lots n lots of sun block.

          Hi All

I am sourcing for reasonably priced and reliable car rental. Any recommendations besides paradise blue rent a car. Thanks.
          http://www.economyrentalcars.com.au/

I used Economy Rental Cars when we were there in September. Very affordable and their office is at the airport. Service is excellent. When I left my wallet in the car on the last day after returning the car at the airport, they called me and returned the wallet just in time before we boarded the plane. All cash etc were intact.

They are so confident of their service - they don't even take your credit card details when you first make a booking for the car.

Thanks you all for the valuable feedback and recommendations ! Now I waiting for the apartment surfer parade resort to confirm my booking. They are taking so many days to reply my email. Not sure if that’s their style ?

I’ll be travelling to GC in mid Dec with my family, including a 5yo and 3yo.

We plan to go Tangalooma for a day trip but wonder if there is decent shower facilities to wash up after sand tobagganing? Does the last return ferry after the dolphin feeding allows some time for washing up before boarding, or we have to rush back to it? Will really appreciate if someone can advise on these, as can’t seem to find such details on travel forums/blogs.

We stayed 2 nights at Tangalooma so I did not pay attention to the ferry timing or public shower facilities. But whether you have time to shower or not, you MUST bring clothes to change because you can get pretty wet. I recall the water reached my thigh when we did the dolphin feeding. Granted I am not tall, but still for kids, they can get pretty wet. We were there in March and it was getting chilly, but Dec should be warmer.

Hi Dnls_mum, thanks for the info. So I'll bring at least 2 change of clothes - one for after sand tobaggan and one for after dolphin feed. Finally came across this review that specifically says the premier day cruise includes use of air-con guest room (believe referring to VIP lounge) that comes with bathroom. Else I think the other public shower facilities is further at the Water Sports side. Guess for the kids sake, I will pay for the premier package. Lots of things to pack for a day trip! haha!

                      Hi,

May I know whether you go Tangolooma free and easy?

Is it easy to book a trip in Gold Coast to Tangolooma? Any idea what is the weather like late Nov and early Dec in Gold Coast?

                      Thanks

Thanks[/quote]I had a jetabout holiday F&E land Package from Singapore. Included 2 nights stay at Tangalooma and 2 nights stay at a city hotel (we extended 2 more days on our own), car rental and transfers. The Tangalooma stay included sand taboganning and dolphin feeding. There is really no need for a guide on Tangalooma. Just check out the timing of the activities that you want to participate in and turn up. Some activities can be booked before hand too. Pelican and bird feeding etc are free and just turn up. Dolphin feeding need to prebook as they limit the no of participants per night and you sure don't wanna miss it.

Food there is ex but there is a minimart there if you want to get simple food to cook as some rooms have kitchenette, or just get breakfast stuff. I recall they have 2 restaurants. We tried both, and like the steak place better. There is a self serve cafeteria place too where we had our lunch.

Tangalooma is really a F&E resort. So really you don't need a package from a travel agent or a guide. Check out the Tangalooma website for their various packages. I would have booked it there if not for the Jetabout package that I got. If you ask me, you don't need to stay 2 nights. One night is good enough. Day trip would have been too tiring for us as i was pregnant with 3rd kid when i went, had 2 young boys and 2 seniors (my parents) because it will be a long long day.

I think weather in nov and dec can be warm.
