        Hi,
A population: Same species live and reproduce in a particular place. Must have at least two species. E.g. Butterfly and caterpillar

A community: different populations that live together in a same habitat (area)

A habitat: place where a population lives

[b] tom inflated the balloon until it burst. state energy changes that occurred

          elastic potential ?????????????? sound+kinetic energy
          ___________ >____________>__________?

          The answer is:
Elastic potential energy (of the balloon)> kinetic energy( of the air in the balloon)> sound energy(popping of balloon).
(confirmed by DD's school science teacher).

That was my answer exactly. But ans key says no kinetic energy but it is heat energy for the second blank!!
          Thanks

I think it is wrong. How is heat energy involved?

Can anyone advise me what is the difference between heart rate and breathing rate?

Heart rate and breathing rate are interlinked. Heart rate is usually to measure how strenuous the activity is. Breathing rate is to measure the intake of oxygen. Both are about respiration.

                According to DD's teacher,
                A) the eggs of bird Q would be pushed out of the nest, causing less bird Qs to be hatched.

                C) when the young of bird P remains silent , the mother bird Q will think that it is her young and feed it

Breathing rate is rate of respiration. Heart rate is pulse.
