Kids sound asleep, hubby 乖乖 at home watching soccer matches. Me happily surfing KSP & counting down to end of PSLE 2012.

Kids knocked out after taking antibiotic, hubby watching soccer. I am surfing here.

PSLE 2012 will be etched in my memory, bcos it's so unforgettable. Will definitely survive this, with some bruises of course. Next round of PSLE will be in 2016.

I wrote this while my DS2 was lying on a hospital bed when he was barely 6 weeks. I was really despondent. Praying like mad that he would recover soon. He was down with UTI and e-coli. I was so scared. So very scared. Because it was around the time when the group of Germans, if my memory serves me right now, had died from e-coli.


Anyway, this is WIP. A very first and rough draft written more than a year ago. Sharing this for the first time.

It brought me some peace and respite after penning this down. Because at that time, I was also facing some rubbish politics in mom's home.

Grace and Gratitude

I am blessed because ...
I have a wonderful and loving husband
And although we don't always see eye to eye 
With regards to some matters
Especially in the upbringing of our kids
I know you love me and the boys
And like me
You want the best for them

I am blessed because ...
Of the opportunity to be
Rendered help by 
People in times of need
Of the opportunity to
Travel overseas to savor
The history, cultures of people
And beauty of the sights
And wonders of the world
Of the opportunity to
Obtain a good degree abroad
Which has been one of my dreams

I am blessed because ...
I have in-laws who are 
Understanding and willing to
Give their time and love to my kids
Unconditionally
Though we may differ in parenting styles
I have learnt to let go most of the time
because of your age
You have mellowed 
In your actions

I am blessed because ...
I have two adorable boys 
My two gems ...
Who never cease to amaze me 
Having to look at life
Through their eyes
I realize the beauty, the essence
Of not being jaded
Relishing ...
the simple pleasures
Is but one of the
Most important lessons
They have imparted to me
