I understand your reason to conclude (3) being the answer.
However it is flaw to conclude that statement A is incorrect. Because copper is not a magnetic material and therefore it allows magnetic force to pass through.
What I can say is the the question itself is flawed. Yes? No?

I need to clear a doubt. If we want to magnetise a rod, we need to use the north-pole of a magnet to stroke a rod from point A to B. Then, point A will become the north-pole. But what if we stroke the rod with the south-pole? Will point A still be the north-pole or will it become the south pole?
