DSA is not limited to CCA achievements, basically looking for niches.
This is my knowledge of DSA from my experienced friends and this is only a guideline for application, not a guarantee of success because schools change what they want every year for DSA talent depending on their needs. One needs to have a niche to offer to the school so ordinary participation will be pale.

              1) team sports - school team preferred but captain is the best or national team
              2) individual sports - ideally national team
              3) team performing arts - school team preferred and best have all graded exams done in order to be granted an audition
              4) academic - good results in the subject you want to DSA and best to have competitions or awards to show high competency.
              5) leadership - strong leadership demonstrated in various areas. some years some schools love head prefects but some years it was like a drought for this area.

All said and done, academic excellence is still the best bet to survive a school of choice to keep a child's esteem in tact. So DSA when all these niches are icing on the cake.

The quote was uncomplete therefore the confusion :?
                  I mean prepare DSA for 2009 babies...PSLE 2021

For DC 2014 psle, no time to nurture to the level of DSA, unless u hv started long ago. For me & ds just study consistently...

Wow, CDE, you are really long-sighted. For me, after witnessing all my other kids \"suffering\", i would rather to let her play more....for a couple of years....
