you guys are all toooo funny... :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

        HUH?? :whut:

Years ago, DH recommended his expat friends to shop in NTUC, Giant and now Sheng Shiong instead of Cold Storage or Jason's. Now they would share info about promos, especially during festive seasons and house parties & such. They would go for wine tasting and all would gather to buy their wine in bulk, they would even go all the way to Fishery Port and Pasir Panjang for their festive shopping of seafood and veg/fruits.

DH used to be pasar malam fan, we would be on our way to somewhere and happen to passby one, we would hv to do a pit stop. But sad to say, pasar malams are no longer what it used to be.

Me, I m a NTUC supporter, would only shop in the other supermarkets if NTUC don't hv/carry the items. I would sometimes wait till Thursday, which is the day that they put up the promos (at least for the one near my place). I would also buy their purchase with purchase discount items.

We buy in multiples whenever theres a special for the daily neccessities like when there was a NTCU special on the Royal Scotts toilet rolls, we bought like 10 packs. Same goes for diapers, milk, DS's formula, wet wipes, etc.... As much as we can, we go for house brands, which we find are pretty good. One such item is the UHT milk that DH used lots with his b'fast cereal. He used to only buy Magnolia Slim which goes from $1.75 to now $2.30 for 1L pack. Now we switch to NTUC brand, which is just as good for him. I still like my fresh milk.

Warehouse sales is where/when we buy our sneakers/footwear, toiletries, some branded apparels (which we like, but don't want to pay retail price for).

Now saving up for spree in US factory outlets/year end warehouse clearance sale .

          Hey hey MLR,

You trigger my shopping mode button.

          Ware house sales in US?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          I AM LOVING IT!!!!!!

After shopping in US, Polo ralph, Coach, Guess ...blah blah blah are so so so so expensive in SIN.

Even Hermes is 30% cheaper in France.

I usually buy a lot a lot so I can wait till my next trip before I stock up more. :celebrate:

          Errrr. not Hermes though

            Hiya kasimom

Me not so sophisticated, I only go for Polo, Gap, Old Navy, Victoria Secrets jus to name a few. Never own a piece of Hermes/Prada, etc. The most I would go for are their fragrances and cosmetjcs. Even these are normally bought in DFS discounted prices
Food items like cheese and chocolates are the ones that I would splurge on.
