MMM, which is better? Tanjong Katong Primary or Ngee Ann Primary (in Marine Parade)…both in terms of academic and character development??

        MMM:

        HGS for girls...for boys?

They used to have Haig Boys School.

What about Tanjong Katong Primary School? That is near to Haig Road as well.

Which are the schools that is within 1km to your place?

Within 1km only Haig Girls' and Tanjong Katong. Kong Hwa is 1.008km away, sad. Within 2km, the nearest is Geylang Methodist. Seems like the only choice for my son is Tanjong Katong?? Cos may not even have chance to ballot for Kong Hwa and Geylang Methodist..

Haig Girls' has a fairly high % of pupils getting into Express stream..wonder why it's not as popular as other schools in Marine Parade. Did a comparison when I enrolled my daughter there this year. I like the school not just for the results though. Now have to worry for my son, cos limited choices now that I will be moving to Geylang. =(

HGS might look less popular due to it is surrounded by low density landed property within 1km, so there's less children. Within 2km only have a few small clusters of hdb, eunos and marine parade. Those live in eunos most would prefer mbs, those in marine parade most will prefer TNS. Being a girls' sch already make half of the children not eligible.

That makes sense. Good for those who don’t want to go through the anxiety of balloting. Anyway I think Haig Girls’ is a good school.

Ya, I also think HGS is a good school. Looking forward to bring my daughter there on 2 Nov for orientation. 🙂
