I have signed up my boy (3.5yrs) with ICR at Rivervale mall. It's his 3rd lesson now but he is still crying and not willing to go into the class himself. He doesn't want to attend. He is a full time childcare boy and has always loving going to school.

Any one here has any feedback on the ICR at Rivervale mall? I was thinking, should i change his class to another slot with different teacher or perhaps change him to Kovan outlet which that might be the next alternative nearer to my house at Punggol. Or is that normal?

      Need some advices plsss. 🙏
I think its the same scenario when kids first started in child care centre. I believe your son is not familiar to new environment yet. Give him some time to adapt especially he is still small. Not many kids are able to overcome anxiety at young age.

My son also had the same problem when i sent him to berries ard the same age as your son. He cried and refused to go in to. I thought perhaps he wasnt ready though he was already in nursery class in child care centre. I stopped and re-enrolled him again when he was in K1. It was a breeze.

Personally I feel that icanread mayb too academically driven for such a young age and he may not enjoy as much as when he is older. Perhaps you should explore other centre where they incorporate fun play and at the same time learn phonics if he is still not able to adapt.

Either he doesn't like the particular teacher or environment. Think for ICR, the teacher makes a lot of difference. So my advice is to switch the branch and then re evaluate whether to continue.

                    Hi

Any mummies looking into ICR Primary English Programme for P1?
Noticed a lot of children attending ICR are from the pre primary levels.

Wondering if the PEP is good and recommended for P1?

                      Hi,

I believed that their programme emphasis more on the ICR. As for the PEP programme, I believed that they follow on stellar syllabus but effectiveness may not be applicable for my boy. It would depend on the individual kids.

                        Tks!

I am trying to compare the PEP with Learning Point.
As the material for PEP seems revamped and looks like following MOE syllabus.

Any mummies with kids in PEP now?
