I use \"magic sponge\" to clean in between groves of tiles as well as tiles itself. Also, useful to clean the wall and kid's table off pencil/pen marks.

Sorry but may I know what is magic sponge? I use lemon juice to wipe metal objects to get rid of rust. I also put a dash of sugar in the bag of prawns to keep them fresh longer.

Prawns! This is what I do.

I wash the prawns, divide them into portions, put them in a container/bag will water and add some salt, then I freeze them.

After defrosting/cooking, they taste fresh and crunchy

That's what DW does too! We saved the ice cream/takeout boxes,
fill them with water and freeze the prawns in them. Can keep the prawns
fresh longer. But we never add salt to the water...wonder if it makes a
          difference?

How to squeeze the last bit of toothpaste out of the tube?
Use a cylindrical object as a rolling pin, and roll from the end of the
          tube towards the opening.

            Hi Augmum,

Yes, I've heard of this tip. Been meaning to try it out.

Apologies for the 'duh-ness', but shd wash off vinegar from the fruits/veges aft soaking b4 eating/cooking it rite?? TIA
            hi autumnbronze
yes, wash off the vinegar by rinsing the fruits with tap water and then followed by boiled water.
when first use, i was worried abt the sour taste of the vinegar, but it turned out fine, no sour taste, no vinegar smell.......(but pl don't pour too much vinegar in, use moderately)

i also use the ice-cream boxes to keep prawns in freezer, i din add in salt, becos i m worried the prawns after soaking too long in salted water would become salty.
also u can use plastic sheet ( cut fr tansparent plastic bags) to \"separate\" the prawns so that it is easier to remove a cooking portion for thaw.

              oh ya.......talking abt prawns....
does any1 know which wet market sells \"prawns fr the sea\" (must be fr the sea not fr ponds) esp \"MING XIA\"good for making prawn dumpling.
have been asking ard the fishmongers in wet market...they replied nowadays, hardly can see \" real sea prawns\" (not those breed in the sea)

I bought it from Daiso. It's white in colour, very useful. šŸ˜„

My mil taught me one tip. If we happened to overcook rice in rice pot (meaning not using ricecooker at home), then put a ceramic spoon inside the pot immediately. It can get rid of the smell of burnt rice.

                      Tried and tested. It worked!
