Typical non-Kc/Ks are probably also more Bo-chup?? So naturally engage less ๐Ÿ˜‰
I think all of us have some degree of kc & ks.......but probably some feel more intensely & will harp more  Again, also a natural behaviour ๐Ÿ˜„
It's really depends on how KS one is.

Just read a thread asking if tuition is necessary for NJC...if already DSA (acad) into NJC, or can get in via S1 (t-score = mid 250), then must be already quite good what. Still need tuition meh?
I mean, last time many of us also not anywhere close to RI calibre, no tuition...yet still went on to complete O, A and a degree.

        1. Allocate Pri/Sec/JC Schs by zone, child MUST attend schs nearest to home address allocated by MOE based on distance.

        2. Ban ALL tuition centres.
        3. Remove all streaming system.
        4. Remove COP.

One can choose to be kancheong or even kiasu or whatever.

If one has chosen to be so, then perhaps he/she should take up all the stress and pressure instead of keep harping and harping and harping non-stop.

This forum seems like lacking balance views from parents who are more โ€˜relaxedโ€™ and more level-headed and the KC and KS ones are much more vocal. Therefore, not-so-KC and KS parents have to note that this forum is not a balanced one when you read about how difficult and how tough the whatsoever and whatsoever is. It is NOT THE TRUTH (unless you are going after results for super sec schools then maybe you need to be KC and KS to that extent else please, there is really plenty of time to smell roses instead of burying your nose in schoolwork).

I wonder why no parents whose kids enjoy schooling participate more in this forum to give this forum a more balanced view instead of making it so lop-sided. Itโ€™s just a PSLE and why it sounds like itโ€™s a major war?
                    :goodpost:

I don't know if I am considered KC and KS. My children had their fair share of good and not so good teachers, we have done our fair share of coaching and paying for enrichment classes during upper primary levels. Preparing for PSLE was indeed not very fun as they had to do more assessment books and past year papers, but that was expected since they had to sit for the national exam. The experience was not exactly very painful nor too stressful. They were never tested beyond what were taught. Most importantly, both my boys enjoy school and we've been having plenty of family bonding time which includes coaching them and having outings and holidays after tests and exams.

That's acceptable. I can afford to move to Ardmore Park if I want DD to go to RGS, where she can hob-nob with all the other kids from Draycott, Dalvey and Balmoral.

by then RGS will have to take in all kinds of PSLE marks not only top 3%.... u still want to spend 5M for a house there??

(btw, i know this will NOT happen.....)
