Hi Chen, I wonder how to develop a process when u have project based syllabus? I'm trying to adopt one of the many strategies that u used to motivate ur dc.

This is a great question. Thanks for asking. Could you give me a more detailed description of...
      (1) what is project based syllabus
      (2) an example of a project (aims, deliverables, challenges, your DC's strengths and weaknesses relevant to the project, the learning outcomes of the project).

I may not be able to revert to you very fast. This is my first day back at work after 2 weeks of being a lazy Petunia Piggy. Got tons to do but I definitely will put this question on my To Do List.

Hi chen, I don’t have a specific topic in mind. I knew that ur dd was in ip school n heard that they r many projects in ip n hope to learn from ur sharing n see if I can incorporate it as part of the learning process. Just for illustration, if I would to make the life cycle of animal as a project like to investigate different types of life cycles for animal. The aim is to learn life cycle of animal n to enjoy learning. My girl is very careless about the details n impantience. She can be very enthusiastic if wanted to learn more but low concentrate span.

This question set me to reflect, how in my early year i have done with my child…

to promote her "self help" skill.
As what the Educator, Bandura said, whatever I expect children to do, I will be their role model. children learn best through observing adult.

US Statistics has proven that Fun Brain Training can Drastically Improve a Students Results.

My School’s Research proves that Students these days Needs more Exciting and Engaging Learning Methods. Have you tried Alternative Education? Different Ways for a Child to Learn?

What I do in my school which is our Patent Pending Trick is to get Kids to Learn how to Create Games for their Birthdays!

But what they will do Eventually is Embark on a Creative Projects Journeys where they are actually Developing their Minds at a Deep Cognitive Level; Conceptual, Structural, Operational and Functional. They will Nurture and Structure their Skills in Imagination, Practise Innovation for Solutions, Invention Using Formulas and Develop Confident Speaking/Presentation Skills. And because it is Fun and they are the Makers of their Knowledge plus They get to Fool Around with their Knowledge then they Experience their Education instead of just Memorizing and Standard Mugging.

Try Different Methods, Try to make it Fun, And most importantly what are her Natural Learning Capabilties? Harvard University’s Project Spectrum is an Advocate of Teaching using A Child’s Method of Learning. This is Evident in Preschools but not in Schools but Recently M.O.E has upgraded to Socrates Methods - Inquiry Based Learning.

Our school uses 9 Different Learning Methods on top of our based Framework which is Project, Problem and Discovery Based Learning Using Games and Play to Learn, Technology - Kids love Digital Media for Education and we even use 3D for Education, Educational Toys and Much More Plus we are Student Centred which means Each Student gets Focused Attention using their Methods of Learning.

In a Nutshell, Kids are "Sian" because they find no connection between Studies and the Real World.

I believe the right term should be \"project-based pedagogy\" rather than \"project-based syllabus\". The syllabus defines what you have to learn. The pedagogy defines HOW you have to learn it. Project-based pedagogy simply means that you teach the syllabus through projects. This has the added advantage of helping children learn important life skills...

                        To be continued later today...
