      33mama:
If the child uses DSA to enter NJC and subsequently get about 240 for psle... will the child struggle in catching up? Can experienced experts who had this experience share please?

I highly doubt so. While I may not be an expert, I have many schoolmates who came in from DSA with a PSLE aggregate score of 240+ and they still manage to excel in their school work.

Thanks Phankao....... yes, dd saw on her schoool board tour on 13th Sat. I better attend this time.

The registration for the school tours were closed last Monday though. Also, the tour most likely will be a 1.5 hour one, so be prepared! (I'll be one of the tour guides there! šŸ˜„)

HI, My dd has been for the tour but she thinks I should attend. DD has been telling me things she want me to hear but holding back some info frm me. šŸ˜‚

We can still call up the school to register for the day tour if anyone still interested .

Agree. It really does not matter what aggregate they come in. It's a different play field now. I think most important is the child must be self-disciplined to self-study. Besides, if they aren't doing so well or lagging behind, they have \"free\" tuition in the form of consolidation classes led by the teachers.

GPA stands for Grade Point Average, a system which most universities use. It is a method of calculating your child's grades. It is basically something like this: [grade achieved x corresponding modular credit]/total credits.
                        For example,
                        LA-4 credits, A
                        Math- 3 credits, B
                        Science- 5 credits, B
                        A-4.0
                        B-3.0

So the GPA calculated will be 4*4+3*3+5*3/12 which is roughly 3.33.
