Anyone going to the GEP IRS Exhibition & Presentation by MOE GEP Branch on 2 Nov ? Is it an important event that we should go ?

I think it is good to go to have an idea what is IRS. IRS is one of the 3 options that GEP kid (P5) can choose.

I'm on course on that day. Can anyone share what is this IRS ? Will the kids go to the exhibition too ?[/quote]

I think some schools will provide transport but you can check with your ds's form teacher. Last year, I fetched my kid there. If your ds is not going to choose that, then it is not necessary for you to go. To be frank, going there just give me an idea what is it about but didn't help much. My dd just did it all on her own. LOL! So don't worry, you won't miss much about it.

You mean this IRS is not compulsory for all kids? If don't choose this one, then what else can choose?

I think my son lost the form. Can't seem to find it anywhere. Have to ask his teacher for new form tomorrow. :slapshead:

You can choose IRS, IVP or FPS (future problem solving). I think you can find more info in the MOE website. The school will brief them at the start of Term1. So perhaps can wait for more info from the school next year.

NH is 'weird'. Why register different names for the kids ? :scratchhead:

They registered under same name for all papers but somehow the tap-id & pin appear different for each paper.
Could it be bcos he change school?

Dun think so, both papers taken in NH, strange, now DS2 got 2 names ... Wonder PSLE they will use which one ? :scratchhead:
