Hi, Dear All, DS3 will take PSLE in 2014. Honestly, I used to do a lot of work with them to catch up, to prestudy and to tighten the loss ends…during the holiday. But this holiday I am planning to do some trips with them so don’t think we will do much studying. But I am actually looking forward to totally different experience. Imagine, totally no study, all play!!! I feel excited too!

My dd is gg to take psle in 2014. Planning to start preparing in this holiday too.. Any advise how to start?

Take it easy, or the child may burn out before PSLE. Reading is always good, both Chinese and English.

Haha are we all trying to compete to see who is more kiasu? :rotflmao:

I have not really preparing my ds for PSLE, but having said that, I have been using Science PSLE book since P3, P5 Cl compo and P5 Grammer/Vocub as well as P5 Synthesis & transformation.

I am using all these books for practical reasons. For P5 Cl compo, I realised that his Cl ft's requirement for the class is quite high, so when I was going through the assessment books, I realised that the standard of book that matched what his teacher is asking for is at P5 level.

As for the EL assessment books, although he has no S&T questions so far except for this year SA2 pp, I have started him on this since P1. And I realised that the books are quite similar as compared to each level. So I will usually buy the higher level and use it for two years as I also do not think he can finish 1 book in a year. As for the the Science PSLE book, as you all know that all those yearly text books are obviously insufficient, so supplementary text for Science subject is a must. And this book can be used for 4 years isn't this value for money?

So I guess I will be seriously looking at some PSLE books for other subjects especially Maths. 😓

Yup... Reading... Going lib and borrow books to read, both Chinese and English. PSLE is a battle with all 4 subjects, cannot afford to have any weak subject.

Pack the house. The place now is like one big mess, with books and notes lying everywhere as the boys had just finished their exam.

Then, it will be play + play + more play.

Tt's wat we are going to do for the holidays...
            Yeah, holidays. 🙂

So my son's room is not the only one which looked like several tornadoes had swept thru.

Languages are important for PSLE. Kids have to strengthen English and Chinese.

I think after my PSLE experience with my eldest one this year, I am going to make sure I spend more time coaching my second one from next year onwards. P4 next year. It is never too early to start. People may think I am KS but I have left my eldest one alone till P6.

jedamum, i think we have to switch to \"club 2002 kids...\" do you think the class monitor or pic can \" cut & paste\" or merge this 2 threads to 1 so tat we need not go both sites to update ourselves?
