Hang in there! :snuggles:
Our case is very difficult to handle. Wonder what will happen when results are released. It's parent-in-laws who are putting us all down. They are expecting top 10 schools which won't happen and if we tell them off, there will be WAR! Grades and status are everything to them. Wish us luck! Hate to be ridiculed by them. -
Tomorrow is all P6 children judgement day.
I so gonna be dead -

hi there,Tomorrow is all P6 children judgement day.
I so gonna be dead
what is done cannot be undone.
have u tried your best?
i always tell (nag, as he will put it) that before the time to perform is here, put in effort to prepare. once the tests/exam is done, then he can have no regrets regardless of the difficulty of the paper.
is your mum upset because during the preparation process, u did not do your best? if so, i do think u own her an apology. and let her know that u have indeed learn your lesson.
if u have done your best, there is nothing to worry about.
then move on. look forward to the next phase. no matter what the outcome of the result is, with hardwork from now on, there is no deadend in your future pursuit. -

The crux is to know what's the best for the kid.
Yes, think it largely depends on the kid's capabilities and personality. Some kids thrive on competition and it's what gets them going. They need to be constantly challenged and are not contented to 原地踏步. Whereas for others, competition is stressful and they want to avoid it at all costs. So really depend on the kids themselves and not necessarily true that those who are doing advanced work beyond their age are unhappy, stressed, hothoused or pushed by parents. Could be the kids themselves enjoy the challenge. -
Play hard before the results come out, orelse we will really really regret not playing before facing the truth.
But it is true, tis horrible suspense is killing and squeezing me. Tat confident look on my frens face crushed me completely -

Hi fifiyeo,
Take it easy...I know you are anticipating some form of 'war' ahead. But nobody can do anything about the results.
Yes, sadly so.
Anyway, whatever our choice is, it's going to be shot down.
Lets see when the time comes... -

Been doing that. Actually avoids them most of the time so DS don't have MIL questioning him about his results. Even tries to bribe him with $$$ if he show her the results. Anyway, now DS enjoying himself. Time to \"torture\" the younger one with studies from tomorrow onwards??? ... if I can start my engine.

I know that kind of shit...back then it was between us cousins. Those relatives never fail to call up when results are out, be it any exam...but the they never do other than that.
Yes, sadly so.janet_lee88:

Im not looking forward to high marks for my dd, just hoping that she will obtain marks that is equivalent to what she obtained in school or a score that is close to the school she was offered CO. Problem is she suddenly went blank during her chinese compo for 10 mins and after she snapped out of it she decided to choose the other (i think without Pictures) and had little time left to end well. Going to loose marks.
For science, she normally hv enuff time to check thru but for the psle she finished on the dot.
She was so frustrated that she came back laughing and screaming after her science.
