Yes Ayutthaya nice. There is a summer palace nearby too. Also can visit.If you like the old city and elephant rides, you can take a train to Ayutthaya.
We went there for a day and it was worth the trip.. ..don't worry about the flood damage, they recovered liao. Do google for more info...

Young kids will find it fun and a lot of things are quite rundown liao.. My thai friends told us to avoid the snow city in there coz rather unhygienic. Quite far out too..

taking taxi from hotel is very convenient... i always ask the porter to help me tell the driver to go straight to the place that i want, and no problems at all... -
Yes but I am going with 6 adults and 2 kids so will need 2 cabs I spouse. Itβs more convenient to take private van can stop anywhere
