teachers & school realy play a big part,… -
MY Son tat school whenever kids wan to play w my son , they will ask them not to near him & etc. when my son wan to play w them they oso pull them away…
so basically is the school -
If the bullying isnt that bad, I think he shld stay on in school.
Remember that is how our world is. There will be inconsiderate, rude and bullies everywhere. Cannot be when our kids get bullied, we will change school.
We need to teach our kids how to deal with such people. 1. Walk away 2. tell Teacher 3. Tell Parents 4. Tell the person to stop whatever they are doing etc etc…
Sad but truth is our kids need to learn how to fend for themselves. We wont be there forever to keep changing the environment for our children.
Anyway its just my 2 cents worth. -
A bit different leh. Your son wants to play with other kids but my son. I cant blame the other kids though coz my son also don’t really react to them so I think they also give up. So I think change school also no use. Im happy here coz the teachers are very helpful, that’s more impt.

Your son is great. Seems like he doesn’t have much of a social problem as compared to the rest of our kids. Who knows, perhaps when u send your son for another assessment when he is older, he will not be labeled ASD anymore.
Actually, he could just be having some developmental delay which he seems to be catching up now. -
Ah bullying!
My boy is lucky, he always have guardian angels around him. I once asked his k2 teacher to video tape his interactions in school and I saw one of his boy classmate snatch his toys and push him. The gal came up, took the toy back and moved my boy over to another corner to play. My boy was totally oblivious to what was happening and just moved aside as told.
Even now, he has a boy classmate who will report to me on what to bring to school, one gal who takes care of him during recess and some other gals will occasionally watch over him.
It really depends on the group dynamics. Sad to say, it’s my church cg boys who rejected him most. They even made a plan to distract him to another room while they play their games without him. Needless to say, I stopped going cg after a while because of how they treated him.
They won’t be oblivious all the time. My boy now knows what it means when pp don’t want to play with u. He was pretty upset once when some boys in school didn’t want to let him play with them and he started screaming. Had to teach him how to handle such situations.
He also has a classmate who swapped his school shoes with him. Luckily I found out and now his classmate has been suspended from sch coz it’s his 2nd transgression. -
in trails class, i did not tell my son condition too…

The psychologist who checked my son didn't even tell me directly until I asked her specifically. She just told me what he will need, what are his strengths and shortcomings etc. I had to ask her, \"so what is the verdict? Is it high function autism?\"double e,

Seriously, if u are seeing a psychologist for assessment, u should be prepared for the labeling. If not why see the psychologist? U should just proceed to speech therapy or what ever therapies needed. -
cuz my son’s cc wan to get him diagnose\
to prove that my son is normal
