Thought that Ms Liu would be the principal as she joined the school recently. That was what happened when the current principal came. Ms Cheryl came in as VP. Saw Ms Liu walking around when I was waiting for my DS. Read from the papers that she is only 33. Wonder how Mr Eugene Ong is.

Have always been reading this thread quietly. Now that PSLE is over, will share some thoughts about my DS’s experience some day.

When I read the MOE’s announcement that Ms Liu is the VP to be trsf out fm Rulang makes me puzzle, cos I’ve neither seen her b4 nor seeing any hierarchy photo change to include her… But she’s listed as the 3rd VP of Rulang in MOE website. Now I read fm Townsville Pri’s threat that she’s in Rulang for a very short while, <1mth or 1mth… no wonder…

I guess initially they wanted to arrange her to be the new P then somehow change their idea and swap her with Townsville’s current P Mr. Eugene Ong. So the 2 main VPs are still around, they have been with Rulang for a few yrs already, not much impact i guess…

Yes, Mr. Eugene Ong used to be in West Groove Pri, and it was during his term there when they got a student who got No. 2 in the PSLE and boosted the name of the school! B4 that it’s juz a normal neighborhood pri sch in Jur West new town. After that they need balloting for the pri sch registration liao, haha. Looking fwd to him to bring in new ideas.

The reason for me to enrol my gals into RPS is becos almost all the 6 sch that <1km in Jur West new town for me needs balloting! So I think muz as well reg them into RPS since it’s so call "guarantee seats" cos I’m ex-students. But by looking at the reg rate of the school now, my advise to the parents who are ex-students and think of enroling their 1st kid in, pls join the Alumni 1yr b4, so that u can get reg at Phase 2A-I, cos non-Alumni will be under 2A-II which might need balloting in 1 or 2 yrs’ time. U need to be in Alumni >1yr to be qualified to reg under 2A-I…

              Cheers.

                Hi BeContented,

In fact, this year , few teachers left Rulang.... Dun worry la, P6 sure get the experienced teachers.

[/quote]Who are the teachers?? But I guess no impact t P.2 next yr right? 😓

Below is a comment of a Townville Pri student's parent on Mr. Ong, seems not bad. 😉

                  pokemon:
Mr Ong is v friendly, he is always walking around the school and can be often seen talking to the kids. My kid likes him very much was v sad to see him leaving. So far, as a parent, im very happy with his management, alot of character building and not juz plain emphasing on academic.

Like to find out more on the life of a P6 in Rulang. Hope some P6/ex-P6 parents can shed some light.

DD will be P6 next year. Heard that P6 gotta stay back at least 3 times a week. Is that right from the start of the year or nearer exam/PSLE? Do they still need to come back on Sat? Currently DD attends some tuition on weekdays & already time seemed tight. So I am looking at either dropping some or reshuffling to clear up her weekdays for more rest.

Hope to hear some feedback. Thank u.

No choice, they adjust d PV no. according to the no. of seats available for 2B. So this yr only 10 seats for 2B, next yr MOE will only allow them to take-in 10 PV.... :xedfingers:

If there is no expansion of the school to have more space, when time to come that all muz go as single session (2015), can foresee that very soon all the students there will be \"own ppl\" (ka-ki-lang), cos all are either the younger siblings of current students, or kids of the staff / alumni.... donnit PV liao, no place for 2B & 2C! :scared:
