Yes its like our mrt train. The other 2 trains in Korea are KTX & ITX, which is like a bullet train for travel inter-city.
I'm sure u can find the KAL limousine bus, just approach their information counter for help if in need. -

yes i'm counting down too, so excited. u so early start to pack?? i'm still finalising my itinerary. have been monitoring the autumn foliage, really hope to still able to see some colours when i'm there :xedfingers: though chances are quite slim as the peak is end of this month :sad: -

my dh says we will miss the autumn... and he insisted to go to the dmz border to see the \"tension\" between north and south korea... i dunno but no choice, got to follow... -

It is very peaceful there along the border. I remembered back in 2004, I had to travel by train to this place call Imjingak in Paju district. From there, we went to the Joint Security Area at Panmunjeom too. It's a day long tour trip on our own, I think we had to pay for some guided tour to get to the border and see the 3rd tunnel etc... You can't venture on your own if I'm not wrong.
Mummychia and Verykiasumummy can be easily confused.

Eh I suggest not to take the AREX.. My airport transfer from Seoul Station to Incheon Airport was via the AREX. And at the AREX Incheon International Airport station, I had to lug my 25kg luggage + 10kg handcarry up the so called Travelators which was so damn long, steep & slow and they could not hold my luggage still at all!!! If I let go of my luggage, it would all have fell all the way down and hit someone!!! Imagine if you bring along a kid, are u going to hold on to ur dear luggage or dear kid? I'm not sure if they was a lift as I didn't see one. The walk from the AREX station to the airport became long n tiring. The airport limousine bus / taxi will stop directly outside the airport so pls take the airport limousine bus instead..

Korea's winter is harsh. Important to stay in a good hotel with proper heating. It makes a difference. Same choice of hotel as mum03 for the same reasons. If I remember correctly, the Nanta theater is also nearby.
I have never stayed in a proper hotel while in Seoul so I'll ever know what proper heating is. I've always stayed in guesthouses with their traditional ondol heating ie. heating from the floor. The hotels are expensive from what I know. I would like to stay in an apt for my next visit to Korea if it ever happens.

I can't remember how much we paid as we went on our own and my korean friend did all the prepayment and we paid back in total sum. Then at DMZ, we had to pay for guided tour inside. It was in 2004 and not 2006 that I went. My 2009 trip was the shortest (4 days) and it was in summer. Super hot and humid, shops do not have aircon, only fan. I will not go back in summer given a choice but the shopping was good. 2006 was the most eventful as we had snowfall on the 2nd day, build snow man in the courtyard and all of us returned with a bad stomach due to the home delivery Jajangmyeon. All my Korea trips were free n easy.
