Has anyone of you heard of neurofeedback? My husband saw a clinic providing this service near my boy’s OT centre. Its suppose to help with the brain wave for kids with ASD, ADHD etc.

BTW, I recently notice something about my boy.

That day, I was teaching him how to draw a balloon. He drew a circle and while he is trying to draw the string, he accidentally erased a small part of the circle that he drew. Very carefully, he used the marker to draw a short line to close off the gap that he erased before he proceed to draw the string of the balloon. It is as if, he is making sure that the balloon is perfect (although the circle that he drew looks like oval).

Also, this morning, when he was taking the towel to dry his hands, he accidentally knocked down the bottle of handwash. If this had happened a few weeks back, he would be oblivious to it. But this morning, he noticed it and placed the bottle back to its original place before proceeding to dry his hands with the towel.

I hope he can apply the same thought when he accidentally knocks down or bumps into other kids. There were a few times that he knocked down other kids and just went away without saying sorry or look at the kid or help the kid up.

Any mums have children in lower primary? My P1 son has been getting additional home support to cope academically for English in Mainstream. I would like to explore small group tuition/enrichment but am wary of commercial centres as they may not be tolerant/patience to teach my son who has challenges focuses. Appreciate any recommendations that has worked for your child πŸ™‚

My son is also in pri 1. Now attends British council for English and berries for Chinese. So far so good. Initially he walks around. Now better and will do his work. Slowest in class but managed to finish.

Erm, I dunno how big the class is... Didn't count it. Maybe u can call to ask?

I ever changed class once for berries becoz they changed the teacher and she couldn't control him. End up he didn't do any of his class work. It went on for a few weeks until I requested to change class to a firmer teacher. It worked and he finished his work after that.

A colleague's child is under such therapy. Found it helpful.

See, where got autistic? Your son even asked where u were when u go toilet. Last time, even when both my hb and I disappear, my boy would be oblivious. We tried a few times and hide in a corner. He didn't realise that we went off and didn't look for us at all. We realised then that we have to watch him, and not expect him to follow us. If he is distracted, he will just walk off on his own, without any concern of being lost.
