      Hi councillor,

Yes, not much info abt TKGS on the Web. Most people look at rgs,mgs etc for their girls BUT\tthese schools are all located in BT. TKGS is a band 1 school according to their principal when I attended their open house mid of the year. They r a holistic school grooming their girls academically and characteristically. The premise is however a bit worn out. For parents who are considering TKGS it is best to attend their open house event. Like other DSA schools, they hv their own selection criteria. Auditions and interviews are standard sop. When my DD and I visited the sch during the open house, we were pleasantly surprised that the girls were very well behaved, confident, cheerful and helpful.equivalent to those I’ve seen in other more talked about schools. The only set back I hv noticed is it’s distance from the nearest mrt station.

If anyone care to share more about the school especially those who have their girls currently in the school, that will be helpful to us most.

TKGS is one of my DD choice school for S1 posting coz we were unaware that there is DSA. I only know that the school is strong in music and Cedar Girls join TKGS in Sec 2 or 3 for the Music Elective Programme.

Some feedbacks I gathered to share:
            - heard from my friend whose dd in Sec 1 this yr.
1)This sch is strict in its discipline, so parents can be reassured.

            2)Teachers are dedicated.
E.g-recently TKGS 2 of its teacher received the President teachers Award and Most Inspiring English Teacher Award.
E.g-Maths HOD will put names of students who have improved in their Maths results for EOY, by at least 2 grades and above, on the notice board.
            Form of motivation.

3)even though the sch campus isn't as new as other schs, the girls are not disadvantage at all, in fact the sch achieved commendable O Level results last yr.
-it's Banding. It's always hovering between Band 1-2.
            This yr, it's BAND 1.
TKGS prepares the girls well for the O Level.

4)TKGS will be embarking on 2 minor upgrad'g project end of the year.
