      Lavendary,

at cel website say ARC has ST & OT

      http://www.cel.sg/uploads/EIPIC%20Service%20Matrix%20-%20July%202012.pdf

ARC teaches and address the functional deficits of each individual child. Each child will have a tailor specific goals/target for every term which is set up upon discussing with the child's ARC teacher and the parent.

ARC have level 0.5, level 1, level 2, level 3 and preparatory level. Ideally each kid will slowly promote to the higher level but I have also seen some kids stuck at the same level for years. I realised that they might not have the time to get promote to preparatory level (highest level) in time cos when they hit 6 years old, they can no longer be in EIPIC.

Hence the later/older the child is admitted, the harder the ARC teacher/parents have to work inorder to push the child to the appropiate levels. So time is not on my side now as my girl only has two years to get to preparatory level. She entered ARC end of last month only and she's approaching 4 years old by end of this Dec :nailbite:

If you noticed in the EIPIC matrix, ARC do not have the tick in ST and OT. There are no speech therapist and occupational therapist in ARC. What ARC teach is daily functional needs, circle time, table task work etc. They do have a gym classroom for simple gym activities, such as going into the tunnel, some climbing of slope and walking down the steps.

i also done alot of deeds , every year i donate a sum of money to orphanage. though i earn not alot..

jus poor thing of my son he the one who suffer . y make my son suffer GOD..

what to do, the only way to feel better is that duno lie to myself anot... that this is actually a GIFT from GOD..

but after seeing the caregiver mediacorp documentary , kinda dishearted already.
cuz her son still do not know how to communicate to the social :(..

can do works alsomus know how to communicate mah.. see in real world who are the winner, those who top talker they are up there and yet done nothing much as the one doing below ;(

Why compare with the worst cases you see? You have already told us that your son does communicate and wants to interact with peers. And why compare your son with the best communicators you see? Even NT kids have a range of communication abilities, and personality also affects their ability and style of communication. I know a lot of NT people who are poor communicators. Communication also can be done in many ways, not all of them with the mouth or face-to-face. Nowadays, a lot of communication is in the form of the written word. And personally, I don't see why we would want our children to necessarily be the 'top' or the 'winner'. Knowing that they are not so social, that would probably be a great strain to them. But not being a 'winner' doesn't mean that they can't earn enough for a decent living and find satisfaction in life. After all, how many of us can be classified as 'winners'? Please, don't always look on the downside and expect the worst.

Gals, don't need to say already lah, I think we have all said so much from the beginning. It's just like an NT mum whose kid scored 99% in the test and ask why isn't he scoring 100? No matter what we say, if that's what she feels about, nothing we can do. Only good luck to her kid because he will always be made to feel like a loser instead of a winner. It's just amazing how clever her son is despite the odds.

Agree, I think her son is the real winner. Despite not attending any therapy, he can still progress so well.

Hi, you try these local online stores; Open Trolley (google using this title) & kinokuniya. I usually check these 2 stores first.

                    Check library.

                    http://catalogue.nlb.gov.sg/cgi-bin/cw_cgi?fullRecord+3684+3002+13601552+5+0

They have but think its first edition. But u can still read it first while waiting for 2nd edition to come out. Usually not a lot of difference.
