What is the purpose? Just get her the most basic model that will serve those purposes.

She want a smartphone bcos classmate most have it.

She just bought a basic model with camera function. Her DD was very sad initially but her DD was used to it after a while.

DS asked for iPhone. It was a carrot for either a DSA offer or doing well enough to get into certain Sch. To our surprise, He managed to DSA....so we had to keep our part of agreement. Thanks to DS, He inherited my iPhone4S while I get to upgrade mine :evil:

Mine too, begging for iPhone. Did not give DS anything even though he was successful in clinching 1 CO for DSA. But he he has my word to get his dream phone if he manages to top the PSLE score in his school. If not, he will just get a normal phone which I think students should have from secondary school onwards.
