It s no surprise for one who score 260 and above to transfer to another school offering ip progm. However, there are also some who prefer O level track n stay in sng.

Those who choose to leave sng at sec 2 are those who actually wanted ip progm after psle but did not meet requirements.

Well, if you look at SNGS' admission stats, you'll see that for the last 4 yrs, there are girls going in with 266 to 276. They can easily get into any IP school !

Bishan ite is possible and makes sense for the new JC. After all bishan ite will be consolidated to AMK ite (big campus).

I don’t understand why these high scorer 260 above didnot apply IP programme the moment they received their results, instead choosing O level track. Guess some of them do regret.

i think bishan ite will just be the holding site ... not the confirm real final site, anyway SJI would be holding at bishan ite in 2014-2015 too

                      Hi. I’d like to ask:

Does SNGS offer normal Chinese? Or is it compulsory to do HCL? I understand that most SNGS are very effectively bilingual. Will one who is weak in Chinese feel out of place?

Can β€˜O’ levels track girls apply to the new JC? Any affiliation points like CJC?

                      TIA

Yes there are 2 classes that offer Normal Chinese.
Weak in Chinese students won't feel out of place. In fact, the learning environment will help those not doing HMT to improve.
O Level track girls can apply to the new JC through Merits only, unlike the IP students who will hv direct entry.
