Hi all affected by or has something to share on the new bus operator, please share on this thread and I will collate. Will send via HPPA to the school.
To start with. I am happy with my gal's bus driver. Very friendly and responsible. Price reasonable. I had also spoke with at least 5 other parents and all surprise on the sudden change.
Plse share more so that we can voice our concern to school.
Thanks.
Hi there,
I'm also pretty concerned about the increase in bus fares. I heard from a neighbour that the increase is due to the new bus operator taking into a/c CCA transport costs.
However, since my girl is only in P1, CCA is not compulsory and I have not signed her up for any CCA next year. So, it doesn't seem fair for me to pay for the CCA trips. As we live nearer the Mount Sinai campus, it also doesn't seem right to pay more for a shorter journey to school. Our current operator is also very friendly and comes all the way into our condo blk. I'm not too sure if the new operator would require us to walk out and wait at the gate. If so, we'll be rather unhappy about paying more for poorer service.
Are there any other parents in the same shoes? Pls share and given feedback. -
Thanks!

Same here.. I understand from the new bus operator that they are taking into account CCA transport costs. However, they are not aware that there are a handful of pupils who do not requires additional trips for CCA at all. They will be reviewing this with HPPS and try to work out something. The new school bus fees will also be doubled of what I am paying now. I hope the school can look into it and review this with the new bus operator or otherwise stick to current bus operator.
My son also currently in P1 and not taking any CCA this year and next year. I am currently paying additional $5 per trip if there is any remedial class and I find this price reasonable. I have no problems with the bus driver as well and the waiting area is just below my block. The bus driver also helps me to coordinate with another driver if additional trip is required. I think this is really good service without us asking. -
Anyone gone down for registration today and has a copy of the 2013 P1 booklist? Can share with me?

Anyone has more information on the new principal?
Here's what I gathered from the Endeavor Primary School thread.
Mr Chia Soo Keng was actually transferred from Nan Chiau Primary School to Endeavour in 2005/2006 to setup the new school as a principal.
In the thread, you able to see that the students in the school like him a lot.
Hopefully he can bring HPPS to another level higher. -
My son is in P2 this year and is going P3 next year. He told me that they are changing class next year. May I know how are the classes allocated?

Comes in the form of 3Ix and 3Cx.
- x being numeric from 1 - 5 or 6
Based on earlier posts by fellow parents, the final results will be divided by half. Top half allocated to the I classes. -
will there be another round of streaming after this ? Or pupils will follow through till P6?

Lai:
So 3I1 is the top class all the way to 3I5, being the last of the top halfs...?MrAYeo:
