Any divorce lawyer to recommend to a sahm?

Dear all, a fren of mine is going through terribly rough peroid in her marriage and kids are still in preschool only. She would like to be prepared for the worst first especially she is a sahm all these while. Would someone please recommend her a good divorce lawyer whom she can speak to? She must have custody to her children and maintenance. Thank you very much
Your friend can approach Legal Aid. You juz hav to pay a minimum for it. However as there is a whole list of people waiting to get divorced, there will be a slightly longer period to get the whole divorce over. Hope this is useful.

My friend so far got whatever she wants from her divorce case via this lawyer and his rate seems reasonable (her case is a strong one and ex-husband side lawyer maybe no good so won).
Sounded friendly over the phone too (have not met him personally but only spoken over the phone). Charges of case base on complexity and your friend may touch base with two different lawyers to see which one she is more comfortable with in the event of real filing of a case. If it's only having a feel for details with a prelim thought of divorce, then perhaps consulting one will do...

Is she a high income earner? I understand from my BIL that the Legal Aid Bureau, legal fees is pledge against his income and can be paid by installment. -
A few years back, when we are in need of a lawyer (not for divorce case), my mom’s friend recommended us a lawyer whom she said helped her daughter through her divorce.
We didn’t engage this lawyer as it involved a criminal case, but he was very helpful and recommended to us one of his lawyer friend who is really good.

Has counselling been considered as an option? It is sometimes kinda depressing to see 2 persons whom have once been the love of each other’s life turn against each other using the law.
I work in a law firm (admin side though) and we do have a gd family lawyer here. Let me know if you need some advice as I do not think it is ethical for me to post his contacts here.
