Looking at the damages caused by 'Sandy'.......flash flood that last 1 hour is nothing in comparison.

I haven't got a chance to look at what sandy had done (not very keen to actually) but I am always very grateful to be born/live here, on this island. Not any northern, not any southern, just this island. Perfect. No monsoon, no earthquake, no volcano eruption, no threat from tsunami. Nice.

When I was getting disappointed, I found supporting voices which made me realised I'm not alone. That gave me the strength to decide to carry on......thanks.

Since I'm here already.......

I'm blessed that things turn out fine after all.

DD fumbled a little at her PSLE & almost could not get into her dream school despite her consistent hard work.

Whatever her appeal outcome was, it's a good lesson to DD. Pride goes before a fall. Always be prepared for the unexpected & move on. DD showed me some resilience & took her fall with stride. We are fortunate that our appeal was successful. The rest is up to her liao.

DS displayed some defiant for a while but he was still willing to let me help to curb his game addiction. Things look good for now.....and he's now feeling the healthy 'rivalry' from his younger sister again....maybe he will buck up this year :evil:
