We were at OG People's Park ytd - there was a 20% discount off the items we bought for our boy and a promotion $1 for a BHPC duffle bag for spending > $100.

Thermal top and bottom cost $46.90 each less $9.40 = $37.50
Sweater $49.90 less $10 = $39.90

I was going to suggest OG too. Can also try Cold Wear.

u will definitely need leather gloves, not those knitted gloves…


hands will be so freezing cold that even the knitted ones cant help. leather ones are much better but still, for those whose hands get cold easily even in aircon room, they need more heat packs… buy a few packs to use and can buy over there which is cheaper…

I remember by first trip to Europe … I brought wollen thermals and found myself dying from the tich indoors! Now I bring layers, and wear a long sleve cotton T-shirt under. There’s no need to wash as often in the cold weather as you don’t sweat as much. But be prepared to peel off the layers indoors, then pile on the layers again before braving the cold outdoors. Its easier if the outer 2/ 3 layers are peeled off together. I generally wear tights under my jeans - the higher the deniez the warmer they are. I also bring a scarf to wind around my head or neck.And bring a windbreake/ raincoat - its the wind that makes the cold colder.

I prefer to DIY Europe trips. They’re well used to backpackers and tourist looking lost. What I love most is getting lost, then suddently finding the most scruptious bakery with the most inviting aromatic hot coffee suddenly … or turning the corner from Carnaby Street, and finding the perfect little pair of boots, on sale , in my size!!! Don’t worry, its easy to get "unlost" too. Just ask round, or pop into the nearest metro.

Fitted cotton shirt is also an excellent idea. :salute:
Otherwise if got itching problem with thermal, I find that putting on body lotion helps to some extend :). Also, I think Jennifer bought Merino which is so very soft and of excellent quality, so hopefully have less of such itching problem unless very sensitive lor :).

We solved our itching problem with L'Occitane shower oil and body lotion.. .. Can try their Shea butter but I find them too 'thick'..

Ok thanks....heard from colleague winter time quality not so good.

Brand of the thermal wear we bou is Thermo Fleece (made in Australia), 100% Merino Fine Wool. The outside is wool, the inside is cotton.

Brand of the sweater is Freezezone.

Thanks a lot. Just hop into \"coldwear\" shop today. Quality is good but also rather ex. So still looking ard for good bargains.

Merino is for my boy only. I bou a cheaper version from Winter wear ytd. Dh suggested I go get a jab from my usual GP to standby the skin itch.

Have not bou the shoes for myself and my boy.

These few days, my skin rashes came back due to low immunity.

If UK is your first stop, go to PRIMARK or ZARA and you will find extremely good quality, wide range and cheaper winter wear for kids.


Kids clothes in UK is a few pounds only coz exempted from local tax, can get really good buy. Just grab with eyes closed.
