      Hi!

I am a Year 2 student, choosing my RA for next year. May I know what are some special/advanced programmes given to those or what are some requirements expected of students in Biology RA?

      Thank you very much

I think the girls all know which RAs they've been accepted into.

        Oh jtoh,

I just checked my email, RGS actually, sent the RA Letter Offer to student Email as well as parents contacted email account.

šŸ˜„email received at time 5.02 in the morning :?

I gather it's good news? Congrats!

Why not post your query on the Raffles Academy website forum on iNet (right-hand side) and hope some seniors can give you a clearer picture? šŸ™‚

Shakespeare is done at the first semester of each year and it is tested in the mid-year exams, but not at the EYAs. šŸ™‚

                  slmkhoo:
A question for girls in Yr 2-4 - which term did you do your Shakespeare in Yr 2? Is it always at the same time of the year? Is it examined at the end of the year? Just checking as we only get back mid-year. If it's done earlier, then I will have to do it with my daughter, I guess.

I think it would depend on the year. Some years they did it 2nd sem and others 1st sem. For ours it was 1st Sem.

Is the GPA from yr 2 onwards a cumulative GPA? i.e. factors in the previous yr GPA.

In yr 3 subject combinations, are all students offered their preferred choice?

No, it is not a cumulative GPA. Each year's GPA is based on performance in that particular year's assessments only.

Yes, almost all students will be offered their preferred choice (first choice).

Thanks! Do the teachers follow the classes from Yr 1 to Yr 2? Will the form teacher and level head be the same? I guess the teachers may not know the exact schedule yet either. Looks like I'll have to wait until Jan to find out.

I just saw that the play for next year is As You Like It, not R&J. Not sure if that's an improvement![/quote]No, the teachers do not necessarily follow the students up from Year 1 to Year 2. Neither do the level heads.
