Good question. I never really check. But I think should be sufficient. If something comes out that is not covered in class, DS sure will complaint about it to me :-). For this SA2, I did not get DS to do other revision except for the Sheng Zhi biao at the back of the textbook. And he did just fine for it. Hope this helps.

According to school notice - school is officially closed on 16 Nov for Prize Giving day and 17 Nov for 10th Anniversary celebration. So there are no celebration or lessons during the daytime.

Hi Ninjago, Beauty and concern_mum,
DS2 is in 1Hope class. Too bad can’t be same class as Ninjago’s DD. don’t think the school practice first come first serve for class allocation, DS1 registered for 2CS and got in 1C while DS2 registrpered under 1A and got in 1H :-).

Orientation tomorrow. I am sure the kids will be excited. Hope they like what they see in their class :-).

Just received notice from school intel new school hour. Next year, the school will start at 7:45am and ends at 1:45pm (yippee!). Recess for P1, 3 & 5 will be on 9:45am (10:15am for P2, 4 & 6). There will be a 15 mins Power Break at 12:15am (12:30am for others). However, one thing does not change is the lunch hour is still at 30 mins. So CCA and remedial classes will start at 2:15pm and ends at 3:45pm. It is a better timing next year. However, I still hope that the school can consider a longer lunch break like 45mins so that the children can have proper lunch.

Hi hi rejoice. Ya the P1 kids all in diff class - then cannot talk about homework ha ha. The other way of forming P1 class could be start from the last class for earlier registration so Hope is the first class.

A bit disappointing that lessons can't start earlier so must teach my DS to do silent reading - else he might be busy 'socialising'.

Haha, think we can still discuss term test, learning journey, school programs and CCA from time to time.

I don’t mind the later school start hours. At least DSs can have a few more minutes of sleep or more time for a proper breakfast at home. Hahaha.

I am a little confused here, please enlighten. You mentioned Power Breaks for 15mins, where does the lunch hour fit in??

I heard my children said can buy tickets for the anniversary dinner.

Now i am oversea for work, so have not received any forms on above all.

Lunch break is from 1:45pm to 2:15pm if there is CCA or remedial or enrichment class. 15min power break is at 12:15pm before school dismissal at 1:45pm. So more breaks for the kids and no more compulsory lunch at school four out of five days! So Astee, you can have lunch with your two little lunch kakis next year:-). :rahrah:

Hi Rejoice, thanks for the update in the new timings. Guess the queues will be very long during recess as 3 levels are having it at the same time. The P1 blur sotongs may not have enough time to eat. Hopefully my DD can adjust to the routine of eating lunch late. She is in 1Aspire. Registration number is 200+. So I think the allocation of classes is simply random.
