Heard that for next year's P3s, there will be two best classes - 3M and 3N and these two classes are the same. This means that your child may end up in 3N even if he or she is in the Top 3 in class this year.

Wonder whether it is also true for other levels? :scratchhead:
Any particular reason/s for doing so...2 best classes?

Tis year the 3M class has a lot of supplementary classes whereas 3N literally had none.

Class ending alphabet M is the best class in RMPS.

        2nd best are the A2…
This is what principal and form teacher confirmed with me.
It’s been like that all along.

A2 used to be the second best class until the school started reducing its enrolment in preparation for single session.

For the current P3 and below, the intake per level is 240. Hence, assuming P3 and higher levels have 40 students each, the intake will only be sufficient to take up six classes. So, we have

              R A D I N M

Next year, the two better classes for P3 will be 3M and 3N.

Perhaps this is the principal's way of reducing stress? Parents can get very stressed up trying to find out whether their children get into the best class or not.

Maybe the 3M teachers kiasu but the 3N teachers are not? 🦆 :siam:

Ya the COP for 3M is 270 points but do not know for 3N class. True, 3M class seem to have supplementary class on every Monday in maybe all the 4 terms.

I wonder this year would there be any class position ranking & students getting in & out from the top 2 classes?

I would think so class positions and likely would be some movements too...

There should be movts but minimum....for the past 2 years, (when he wasPri 2 <best class started at P2 then> and P3) the movts was b/w the best 2 classes. Can't recall wht there r kids from other classes..

How many of this year P3 kids qualify and opting for GEP this yr?
