Hi Rejoice, thanks for the update in the new timings. Guess the queues will be very long during recess as 3 levels are having it at the same time. The P1 blur sotongs may not have enough time to eat. Hopefully my DD can adjust to the routine of eating lunch late. She is in 1Aspire. Registration number is 200+. So I think the allocation of classes is simply random.

I normally let DS has light breakfast at home (a cup of milk with small piece of cake or bread). Then I will pack him more proper breakfast ( sandwich with box milk) to eat during recess. With the packed breakfast, he is able to eat finish with some spare time to go library or "shopping";). I think i might pack them a banana or snack bar for the power break to last them till 2pm before lunch :-).

During the first week of school, the P1 kids will be buddied with a P4 or P5 student during recess time. The bigger buddy will teach and help the new comer buy food at canteen or supervise them when they play at the playground. So rest assured that they are well taken care of.

I really looking forward to the new school year next year even before this school term ended, haha. I am sure DS2 will enjoy going to school with DS1.

After reading what your boy has taken for breakfast every morning, I realised that my gal is eating very little. :sad:

My gal will only have a glass of milk in the morning and declared that she is full. There is no way I can force her to eat more. Wonder how can I entice her to consume more than a glass of milk during breakfast time. Any tips to share?

Haha. That is DS1. He has an adult appetite Most day he eats as much as me if not more. DS1 did not eat as much when he was in P1. DS2 eats only half of DS1 most of the time except for fruits, haha. So don't be too worry if your gal not eating enough. Just make sure she has balance diet. If you want her to eat other solid food, may be you can reduce the amount of milk and get her something she likes to eat? I think once she goes P1, her appetite may grow due to the many activities she is in and the attention she needs will make her hungry . You can still pack food for her for recess. May be eating with her new friends at school will help her to eat more. Don't try to force her to eat as it will make her dislike eating. As long as she is healthy and does not pick on her food, I would think she should be fine:-).

I am new n was just reading the pages n saw that your DS is in 1Hope. My DD is in 1Hope too. She likes her class n Ms Ching. But I wonder if she is the teacher for the class?

So your DD is the Beauty 13 in 1 Hope ;-). Welcome to the forum! Hehe. It is nice to find another parents especially one with DD same class as my DS2! We can discuss homework, learning journey and teachers together, hahaha.

It seems like the deployment of the teacher has not been finalized. I do hope the same teacher will be the FT. Ms Ching seems like a nice and friendly lady. DS2 also likes her. But we have to tell him his actual FT may be different so that he won’t be that disappointed. May I know which phase your DD registered with TGPS? We are just wondering if the assignment of class is completely random.

I do really hope my gal’s appetite will eventually grows bigger. She is a fussy eater since young and it’s hard to get her to try something new.

I intend to get her packed food as well but she is in the afternoon session and will attend student care in the morning, so wonder what should I pack that can last till 3pm in the afternoon.

Hi all,

Today we drove past the school n DS say that he saw his P1 teacher is along the road - maybe traffic Marshall. Asked him what’s her name - he said don’t know : we can also call ‘teacher’…
I asked him did he make friends - he said he hello to his neighbour but the person just pointed the front!!
But I really like their system as queue is not long.

Yes! We can discuss about our kids n the school. Hope that the rest of the parents can join in too.

When will the school let us know the FT? Do you know if they will update us any info nearer to start date of school?

We registered in phase 2B. I also wonder how they arrange the classes.

I c, afternoon class is a bit tricky. I can think of only muesli bars, buns, cake or muffins. I give my DS packed UHT milk since can’t give them fresh milk. Hope this help.

I think the school will likely firm up the teacher during school holiday. I am also wondering if they will inform us. But I see that most teachers in TGPS are very friendly so whoever the teacher is, I think the kids should still have wonderful time at school :-).

Have you all bought your textbooks, uniforms and shoes? We resisted doing that on orientation day since DS1 was not with us that day. Hehe. Will bring both boys back to get their new gear and books sometime in December.
