        Hi,

I think ChiefKiasu sent his son to Molin for a couple of months already. You can check the thread on Language, Speech & Drama to get more info. I reckon Molin is more suitable for upper pri. More academic & drilling work involved? Am I right ChiefKiasu?

          Hi Chief,
Would appreciate your advice on this matter. I am in a dilemma whether to transfer my child who is currently in Tien Hsia to Molin for the K2 program? Thank you.. 😢

If you haven't already, you should read the earlier parts of this thread to get some idea about the various Chinese enrichment services.

My personal opinion is that Molin curriculum is quite academic driven and more like tuition than \"enrichment\". So the learning process is efficient, but not necessarily the most fun or interesting to children who are already \"Chinese-phobic\".

I'm not sure about their preschool programmes but there are some parents here who think highly of them.

If your child is already in Tien Hsia, I don't think you will get much value switching him/her to Molin at this late juncture. But Katong Mall is going to be closed soon, so I don't think you have much of a choice.

What about Beijing Language School? Can someone give me reviews on this? It’s nearest to my home and the teachers are all of China national.

I’m desperately looking for chinese teachers to guide my ds in his chinese when he goes to P1 next year.

                      Hi ChiefKiasu

I noticed that you’ve sent your P3 son to Molin. Is it good? Which is better Molin or Tien Hsia? Any particular reason for choosing Molin instead of Tien Hsia??? Many thanks.

Both are roughly the same. Molin has a good mix of both academic and extra-curricular Chinese enrichment such as newspaper reading and analysis and creative writing. It is not too \"commercial\", spends little to no money on advertising itself, which I translate to better utilization of its resources on the actual task of education. I must say that the teachers are quite dedicated and up to the task of encouraging my son to persevere in the subject he dislikes most.
