That's why she managed to progress rather quickly from fresh beginner to learning grade 7 now, all within 20 months

My dd1 is learning string instrument, not piano.
She is only half way through grade 7 scales, so still at preliminary learning phrase, not in exam ready mode yet.

Based on her review, piano is much harder to master than strings.
My dd2 is the one learning piano, been learning for 3+ years still at grade 5

Dd occasionally says that she also wants to learn violin on top of piano. She has not been very insistent and she is not yet at the stage where we don't have to remind her to practise, so we are pretending not to hear. I hope we are not depriving her of her full potential by causing her to miss out on some critical stage of musical development by indirectly making her concentrate on piano.

If have, can have her join and learn from teachers engaged by school?
