yes, vocabulary is very very important. but intreasting is important also.

Lately I have been watching alot of Taiwanese and China dramas / movies and I feel I am more fluent in the language now. So I am looking for some suitable titles for my kids to watch. Any recommendation? I heard ‘piao liang ma ma’ by gong li is suitable. Have yet to watch that.

Err... I am not very sure. You may try to go to it's homepage and select the page from there or refresh it again. I think it depends on the traffic. Sometimes I can download this story page or other page like 生字学习 very fast. But sometimes unable to do so too.

At the bottom of the homepage, there is a statement : 您如果看不到动画请安装 Macromedia Flash Player. I have tried but not much help. May be you want to try out too, see whether it helps...
