      Love@Depot:
According to OneMap, my own hse is within 2km ... only my mum's 1km ...

If this is the case, it doesn't matter whether you use your own address or your mum's address. Either one, your child will still be in the 1-2 km category.

I am an old student of FMPS and qualify to register my DD under phase 2A2. But am thinking of CHIJ (Kellock) as it’s right beside my mum’s HDB block. My mum will be taking care of her after school. Any advice pls?

The usual advice here - register your child under P2A with FMPS and monitor the situation in CHIJ Kellock. I assume you plan to go by the caregiver route. There wasn't any balloting for those in the 1-2 km category in P2C this year but situation may be different when you apply.

qms, tx for the reply. Yes, I intend to apply for stat declaration at MOE, but wonder how they define full-time care. What if my mum only takes care of her after school? Wld it be counted?

How are the stds of the FMPS and CHIJ (Kellock) nowadays?

                  Please refer to MOE's website:

Yes, I read the same MOE info, but it doesn’t define full-time care.

How wld you compare the stds of FMPS and CHIJ Kellock?

                      Hi Class Monitor

                      I’m kinda confuse.

My kid is 2009 child and will register for P1 in 2016 which means if I do PV, I have to register in 2014. Correct?

We stay within 1 km to RMPS. Are we in Phase 2C?

If we do PV, we should be under Phase 2B, right?

Is the chance good for Phase 2C if I DO NOT participate in PV … based on past records? Any idea?

If we decided to participate in GRL, do we need to register under the Radin Mas Constituency? If we are staying at the Tiong Bahru Constituency and join the GRL there, does it make a difference?

Also, when do we need to sign up for GRL in order to complete the required time frame? Is one year sufficient or more?

Lats of all… so far based on the history records for RMPS for PV or GRL (within 1 km) does it chance a very good chance?

                      Sorry for the many Qs.

                      TIA

Depends on which school you are looking at. Some schools accept PVs two years before the year of registration.

For RMPS, assuming there is no change in policy. You will register your child in July 2016, meaning by 30 Jun 2016, you need to have clocked 40 hours. Usually, the PV period starts one year ahead for RMPS. So, you need to start enquiring about PV with RMPS in 2015, maybe mid-2015. I understand that PVs in RMPS only start clocking hours from November onwards.

Which phase your child is in depends on your \"relationship\" with the school, not distance. If you or your husband previously studied in RMPS, your child will qualify under P2A. If you or your husband is a PV/GRL, your child will qualify under P2B. Otherwise, your child will be in P2C.

                        Yes.

Based on historical data, the chance in P2C is about 3 applicants vying for 2 seats.

If I am not wrong, you can only be a GRL of the constituency you live in. Tiong Bahru is under Tanjong Pagar GRC, right? So, you can only join in Tg Pagar GRC. Unfortunately, RMPS is under Radin Mas SMC. Hence, you need to stay in this SMC in order to apply as a GRL. That's my understanding. Perhaps gurus here can advise. Please read more from the GRL thread:

You need at least two years serving as a GRL before you are eligible to apply under P2B via the GRL route.

Yes, no balloting for those staying within 1 km in P2B so far.
