Am thinking of the logistics issues for my girl who is P3 next year... Can P3 & above parents share their arrangements?


We are staying in Bishan... so I think we will do without school bus starting next year because not too sure what time the school bus is going to pick her up. If too early then I rather send her to school myself. Any parents staying in Bishan can share?

And for all the CCAs and HCL and AS, I think my girl has to stay in school 4 out of 5 days... so she also cannot take school bus back.... Can I check do the P3 parents pick their kids up every afternoon?? I think the P3 is still slightly too young to take a bus back home...

Am i worrying too much?

We are staying at senett estate, though not very far from Toa Payoh, just 10 mins drive to TP, the school bus comes at 6a.m. to pick my DS. So we resorted to sending him to school in the morning to let poor boy has a bit more sleep.

There is an extra bus service on every friday when they have HCL. We have to top up $4 for every Friday trip. The rest of the days, no school bus plys our route after his activities so we have to find our ways to pick him after the CCAs. Not sure about Bishan area. You should check with the bus vendor. What I understand is that they could stay in school after their activities and hop on the evening bus for the afternoon session, which means that they will be in school for the whole day.

Thanks!! If there is an extra bus service on friday after the HCL it would be great!! Don't think my girl will follow the evening school bus back because it is going to be too late... Think the amount of time left for revision and rest starting next year...

Does she need to have any music qualification in order to enrol.

My DD has some music background... but I don't remember they request for any qualifications... it's just select and wait for reply.

Last day of school for my DD. She’s excited but sad that she won’t be seeing her friends till next year… She’s going to be in 3H next year… any parents with kids in 3H??

My DS is not in niche CCA (just general CCA) but he claimed that he is placed in the CO class… v confused… Does that mean his class has a mixture of CO kids and other kids as well?..

But i guess volleyball class (ie 3H) will solely comprises of ALL volleyball kids?

CO is a niche CCA in PCPS... so I think as long as you opt for CO, all CO students will be placed in the same class for P3 and P4 irregardless whether the kid will eventually take part in SYF or not...

I think definitely there are students from other CCA in the CO class...there can't be 40 CO students...maybe those in creative dance or chinese toastmasters are also in the same class. Just my guess.

For my girl's class, it is made up of 16 VB girls and 16 VB boys and 8 Table Tennis kids. This was what we were told during the Sports Class dialogue session.

My DS, as usual, didnt bother to pass me the recent notifications and only got to know abt the AS/EP P3-P6 schedule, booklist etc only this morning because i went to dig his bag..
Ya i agree that it will make sense to put the \"creative CCÄ\" kids like CO/dance in the same class.
However he is in a sports CCA so not sure why he is in CO class (if he didnt get the wrong info!!)..

It will def be helpful if the school can communicate such simple info to us parents...

Oh iLoveChubby, you meant your son is in VB but placed in a CO class? which class is he in next year?

Yes I also need to dig info from my girl all the time... else have to post in this forum hoping some parents will come to my rescue...

Hi Callie, he is gg 3F but acc to his FT, he is going into that class because that is a sports class… probably she meant those kids who are like him, not in niche CCA but in general sports CCA like Sports Club etc… So either his info abt having CO classmates is not accurate OR they mix the CO kids with the General Sports kids in e same class…

Ya I heard from my girl 3G is for CO students… her friends from Chinese Dance or those without CCA are in 3F…
