                  Hi kgaihc,

do you know how many Indian pupils are there in 3 Care? I heard from my nighbour that Indians @ Evergreen can score 100% even at P4 standard. As for 3 Charity,4 Indian boys and one Chinese boy get the top 5 positions. I think all of them are foreigners, if my info is accurate - from India and Malaysia. Not sure about their aggregate score though. Did anyone from Care manage to enter GEP? None from Charity.

In 3 Care, the top 5 positions consist of 3 Chinese boys (1 from China, 2 local), 1 Indian and 1 Malay. There are 2 students who managed to enter GEP - 1 from 3 Care, the other 1 from 3 Charity.

Yes, seems like Indians are able to score well in their mother tongue subject.

Yes, Indian and Malays are able to score better in their mother tongue than chinese! My son has the same problem, his mother tongue always fail him!

That’s bad news. Now, we have no way of knowing how the kids in Evergreen fare in the PSLE. No accountability is not a motivation for progress.

School should at least announce the NUMBER of pupils who scored >270,between 260 and 270, between 250 and 260 etc.At least that way, we have a general idea of how our students are doing in the exams.
Anyway, I find it quite worrisome that with just an annoucement from a minister, a "media-blackout " is immediately created. I find this sort of information suppression quite unacceptable in a society like ours…
Many schools flashed the names of their top scorers on the screen and also give parents some statistics regarding the scores as I mentioned. I hope Evergreen will do the same and not resort to TOTAL "information blackout".
The above is just my personal opinion and sentiment. Hope I have not offended anyone with my comments.
