My son mentioned that starting next year, all administrative matters including IT will come under RJC. Apparently, there's going to be a lot of changes. Not sure how it will affect them. Anyway, both RI & RI(JC) are under the same principal. Maybe that's the reason why RGS refuses to merge with RI. RGS will have to be under RI(JC) & hence, looses it's identity.


As a parent, I wish for RI & RGS to be merged and in the same compound. If not, at least near each other. Then, my children can be in the same school .

Both RGS' & RI's principals are equally impressive & charismatic.

RI's school compound & facilities are newer, bigger & better.

RGS does not have a pool & therefore swimming is not part of their school PE programme. In RI, swimming is part of their PE programme. Those who already knows how to swim get to play water polo. By sec2, the boys must pass NASSA bronze & sec3, silver - i think.

For music, those with Grade 3 & above will learn how to play the guitar while those without music background will take basic music (not sure what) in the first term.

just to share a l'il bit of good news. a boy i know was wait listed for RI (thru dsa), and he got confirmed offer when psle results was released. and his tscore is 261. he was all grinning and thanking the lord and so on.

So, looks like our boys would be schoolmates. Don worry too much, k?

It is part of their Music curriculum. No fees needed. Test grades reflected in progress report.

Yep, maybe our paths will cross but unless prearrange then I'll not know who you are. Next Wed, I'll be among many other parents craning our necks to figure out which class he's posted to. Nah...he'll crane his neck himself, since he's taller than me already.

Went to bibi baba this morning. Quite crowded, had to park all the way to the 10th floor. Shop was crowded too...and only 2 fitting rooms.


Good thing we came here to get, otherwise next week, I wonder how'll the boys try on their pants. There'll sure be lotsa red-faced boys if they've to try it there on the spot among their frens. :oops:

So, our loot:

2 shirts - 8.60 x 2
1 polo-T (for Fridays, I was told) - 9.10
3 shorts - 9.60 x 2

Total 55.10

Wonder why the staff there is so cat. They couldnt find the sample polo T for trying, dh asked them to let son have a new piece, they said must pay up first, and exchange if it doesnt fit. So cat for what, there'll be others who need to try also. :?

Anyway, we're almost done. So, next Wed, we only need to get his PE shirt plus show him how to take the MRT to Bartley where I can pick him up..just in case I cant fetch him home.

Looks like I'm more excited about him starting school than he is. He looks so smart n sharp in his white uniform :love: , but he said he looks strange.
