I went to Tak Yu Restaurant too ! Did you manage to try their porridge ? During my research, I read that the porridge sold out by 5am ! Will checkout Che next trip.

By the way, can you remove my photo links from your quote...so viewers don't need to see the big photos so many times and take up the bandwidth also.

Wish you all great trip to HK !

Hanoi Street 龙记: Wantons like ping pongs - full of prawns.

What a co-incidence. We tried their wanton noodles soup recently - simply noodles, 4 wantons and some chopped spring onions. Fully agreed with your description of their wantons. Very tasty and cheap - less than S$3.50. Though our hotel is very near to this shop, we did not discover their noodles until the morning before checking out.

I am a bit  to say but we have the wanton soup (without noodles) for supper nearly every night we were there. I hope the shop will stay cos the aunties running the place are quite elderly. Some of my die-hard-fans friends buy frozens wanton back from the shop just before departure. The aunties will pack in white styrofoam boxes for you. Errr...easier to communicate with them if you can speak Cantonese. One evening, my dh went on his own and spoke English :stupid: ...the aunty got the policeman to help in translation :!:

:celebrate: I miss wantons !!! Real wantons...not the limpy stuff we get here !

Ok I promised my good friend that when she quits (in between jobs), I'll pop over with my son to hang out. I hope she's aiming for the March hols lah, but weekend also good.

Gonna go with a print out of your rec. Tks!!
