Thank you flowermonaster!!

I m so happy too. Hv shelved the bm for nearly a year coz the end product was not palatable then. Now I m confident to use it. At time of purchase bm was intended to bake bread without preservative for Dc. Now can continue with my venture.

How to make sausage bread ? How do we stuff the sausage inside after baking. I presume sausage need not baked ?

I don't stuff sausage inside after baking. I will roll the dough ball into long stripe long enough to coil round the sausage, you get what I mean? Then egg wash the dough after proofing & into the oven.

Thank you for sharing.

May I ask what is proofing and egg wash ?

At wat temp do you heat the oven ?

Must preheat the oven first before put in the bread. My oven is slow so I normally will check my bread after 30mins, if still not nicely brown I will bake another 10min & check again.
My Char Siew buns

Did you make the char siew yourself? Can share how to do it for bread filling?

Ksme, yes I make the char Siew from scratch & then use it to make the filling. I will share the char Siew filling recipe tomorrow here as I am going to sleep soon.
Hi Ksme, good morning! This is for you.

Char Siew filling
1/2 tbsp oil
2 shallots, flatten
200g char Siew, diced
1 1/2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds

Seasoning (mix together)
80ml water
1 tbsp light soya sauce
1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp dark soya sauce
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp tapioca flour
1/2 tbsp corn flour
1 tsp plain flour

Method
Heat oil on medium heat, sauté the shallots til fragrant. Discard the fried shallot.
Pout in the mixed seasoning, immediately stir the mixture as it boils. Keep storing until thicken. Takes about few seconds. Add char Siew dices, sesame seeds & mix well. Dish up & leave to cool before use. The finished mixture should dry up & sticky for easy wrapping.

I still visit subway once a while but rarely buy from breadtalk Liao.
My next task is to make French loaves, I like Delifrance type.
Hope to learn from Dasalo, her French loaves look  My DS also commented that. 😄

No need to feed the fish, feed ourselves again. Cut up into cubes and toss some spices or just plain and put into oven at 100-140 degrees C for 20-30 mins to become croutons. You can use them in your soup, salads or porridge(I know it sound strange in porridge, but taste good).

Alternatively, you can freeze them and use them for future use. eg. bread pudding or add them as fillers for meat patties or even your chinese Ngoh Hiang.

Tips on egg wash :

When you do egg wash, add about 1-2 tbsp of water and a pinch of salt to the beaten egg and mix well. It'll make your bread less brown and the salt gives the dough a taut effect, so no wrinkles.
