Agree totally! Tried being friendly to neighbours B4 but they start thinking u r up to \"no good\" or has some \"motive\" in mind.... So now, just have to act \"bo chap\" or smile only 20% every time walk past them.... Then they will see u as \"normal\"

That’s why I am very thick-skinned. Will greet my neighbours first and I realised they will respond after a few times…kekekeke

Just want to share a book that I just borrowed from National Library. It’s called Oops, the Manners Guide for Girls (not sure it has one for Boys) by American Girl Library. It has a lot of humourous colorful illustrations which kids will enjoy and yet send the right message to them. Covers topics like right Words to Use, having right body language, how to deal with situations with friends, table manners, how to behave in different social situations…etc Check it out…!

Yes saying please and thank you is such basic manners which makes everyone happy. It also encourages the person doing the act to repeat it next time. How we raise our children will have an impact on our society's solidarity because of our values and beliefs.

You don't have to be polite, friendly, or reciprocal to others to be successful in life, but you will become a very lonely person.

Its quite hard to teach my 2nd son and youngest daughter about manners cause its a concept which they have difficulty trying to understand. So i let them watch videos on youtube that teaches manners. Like this one,

Now they are singing the song the whole day....Now, I wonder if it was a good idea.....

My child already started to say thank you and please now.


If forgotten, I will say \"what must you say?\". Next my child will say \"Pleaseeee\". Haha... my child even say \"thank you\" to me, when it is supposed to me saying \"thank you\". I guess the \"manners time\" book works.
