Dagong, yr ds is one of the top 4?
:congrats:[/quote]
:thankyou:
pai say, actually I was also quite surprised when he told me he got a prize as his results is not that 'fantastic', very 'skewed' towards Math & Science, not top in any subjects and his teachers had warned me to watch out his languages during PTM. Probably competition is much lower in his school as I understand other
schools average is even higher than DS2. :yikes: that's why he got the chance.
But I'm already very very glad & hope he can maintain his results for P5 & P6.

Just come back from vocation, Congradulations! Dagong.
Did you attend the prize giving ceremony? I was there too! surprisingly my DS also got a prize in his class
That day if you saw someone pulling a luggage, that's me! Never thought about this, I have prebooked our flight in that afternoon. When DS told me he got some prize but don't know what kind of prize, I nearly couldn't believe my ear.
Same as your ds, I can only think the competition in NH is much lower than other schools. -

DS2 also dun know what prize until the very last
day. So both of our DS had given us a pleasant surprise, really hope they can
maintain their results. :celebrate: -

Hi dagong99, my dd read quite a few, all borrowed from NLB, I could not recall the titles; but the one she did for ERP was \"THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES\" by Arthur Conan Doyle.

Thanks a lot, 25hr mama, \"THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES\" is also the one I managed to find in NLB librarydagong99:

The rest are either too thick (DS1 said it will 'kill' off DS2's interest, knowing his brother  ) or too 'chime' (太深) , so hoping to find other titles or simpler version

Hi dagong99 & YY1205, I know I am slightly late with this, but I have been on holiday, so a belated congratulations on your DCs' excellent results.
I know different school has different practice. Some schools overall aggregate includes Social Studies while some just take in the 4 core subjects. Do take note that for DSA, the >80% criteria for exemption of GAT only refers to the 4 core subjects.
For those who did well this year, keep it up! For those who did not as well, work on your weaknesses & persevere.
All the best for next year, EVERYONE!!!
