Cedar cut-off for IP is 258. Do you think there is a chance for my daughter to get in.

u r quite a few points below the cutoff, so might be very slim chance, to be honest.

Are you sure Cedar cut off is 258?
Yes confirm. Last year IP cut off is 258. Unless she opt for o'level route.
My son didn't do very well...we were caught off guard.

He has 203. Need time to get over it.
Seriously I don't know what happened, but can't ask him.

Don't worry I got 272 only.. so sad...

Actually with your 272, your IQ is already high up there. It's your EQ that requires lots of work.......and take note, that's what gonna serve you well for the rest of your life!

Hope you learn your lesson well.
Problem is she shared in the other thread that she's a parent. So is she a prankster ? Whatever it is, there's no place for your joke here !

Janet, when I read your post last night, I did not know how to comfort you then... so I decided to keep silent. But I do share your pain and shock... just want to know that alot of parents are here for you. :grphug:

Let's just move on from here.. you can see alot of other parents have shared very inspiring stories about these kids who have done very well even when the odds are seemingly stacked up against them. 😄

I have the greatest respect for the parents. Such kids are usually genius by nature. However, to be able guide, coach, coax,...them to deliver such fantastic results is no easy feat - a miracle to me. Will be great if the parents can share details on what they have gone through so that we will understand how fortunate we are.

                      Hi,

                      2. No, not everyone is offered 3rd language. Top 10% offered all the 3rd Lang, including french, German and jap. Then the next x% will be offered only Malay, Arabic, etc.

                      Just curious.

                      Top 10%, what is the t-score? Above 260 or 250 or 240?

                      250

Janet, PSLE is not a make and break exam. It is just one of the many battles in life and we cannot win all battles. Encourage him, give him lots of support, after all he has work very very hard for his PSLE. From changing his attitude and learning to be more responsibility in his work, these are valuable skills in life.

Encourage him to pick up from where he fall and go again from there. I have seen many that did not do well in PSLE and achieve well later in life. Life is a journey, PSLE is part of the journey, and by no means the end of it.

Bring him out for a good meal, have a good day out.
The disappointment will not dissipated overnight, but with strong support from the family, he will emerge stronger for future challenges.
