I do not know any. If you look through the yearbook, those teachers who anchor P6, the graduating batch, are supposedly to have the ability & many years of experience to prepare them for PSLE. They are mostly the experienced and some are HODs. If you look through the few years of yearbook, should be good enough to gather those names.

However, I do not see why it should matter to you, since you cannot decide which class your child is in, let alone the teachers who is going to teach him.

There are about 2 classes which are stronger academically, usually C and D class. They have another class, O - Olympism which is good in sports and also high ability students. The school did not share with us : ) so you can gather it's mainly due to students being the cream of the crop in the entire level.

So, it is very important that the child stays positive in his learning attitude and has tried his best each time. From the report book, you cannot tell his relative performance to the rest of the cohort.

the reason why i ask which P6 teachers are better -
is because currently, there are some P5 parents going around now asking -
which P6 teachers actually can teach better, bec their child is going to sit for next year, 2013 PSLE.
To them, having good P6 teacher is very crucial.

btw, anyone know what is streaming criteria like (if any) -
for P5 entering P6 class(es), or for that matter -
      for P3 entering P4 class(es) ?

Does anyone know the changed of classes for primary 3, do they go by results or random? Is 3a class better than the rest?

Hi my neighbour was Super KS - she went to both Ngee Ann and Tanjong Katong fot P1 Orientation (so that she could make up her mind where to send her daughter to for next year registration). She told me that Ngee Ann seemed more impressive…what do you parents think?

              Any feedback???

Hey can I just ask a bit further. Can ask your neighbor to please elaborate why she thinks Ngee Ann is more impressive?

Actually I’m also confused between the two schools.

I heard that Ngee Ann is more of Chinese crowd and there is a lot of bullying.
I’m a non Chinese so want my kid to be in a more multi racial
                Environment.

If I get more specifics I can decide better. Is teachers or cca?

Or generally the results? Base on my research both schools have equally good results.

                Thanks for all thoughts

Hi there, my neighbour has left for her holiday so am unable to get more information from her.

But what I understood from her when she shared was that at the P1 Orientation, the teachers seem more dedicated lot at Ngee Ann.
For example at the Orientation the VPs, HODs who were sitting in front were introduced. Also the P1 Curriculum was introduced in depth together with the Parent Support Group. P1 students came dressed in their new uniform already comeplete with shoes and socks. 😉

Not sure about bullying though as I thought all schools have it (even top schools) :?
By the way, I am also non Chinese (Indian Muslim) who is considering these 2 schools and 1-2 others for my son and sister's son as I have my mom living around these 2 schools while I live a short distance away.

                  Hope this helps:)

                    Help needed urgently!!

Dear upper primary p5 / p6 parents at tkps,

                    A) may i know which are the top few classes, in tkps ?

                    B)
how do they define top classes ?

Is it aggregate of results - streamed at the end of p3 -
                    based on
Total exam marks scored for p3 (English, Maths, science) ?

does total include or exclude mother tongue ?

                    C)
How are the teachers in p5 / p6 so far ?

                    Example
If a child is not streamed to the top few classes, do the teachers still put in the effort to coach the weaker students, to prepare for Psle ?

Can share in detail - how teachers help weaker students ?

Or does the school only focus on the top few classes, drill them, give them extra tougher worksheets to practise harder, prepare Psle ?

Thank you for kind sharing, much appreciated.
This will help me in decision making, coming July p1 registration.
