Hi, I would just like to ask if NJC still accept students from other schools in SG in Yr 3.

Yes, I'm sure they still do. šŸ™‚

Also do take note that secondary school is definitely more tedious than primary and will have more activities (and extra commitments) for the students, so the ability to cope and juggle all these stuff would be essential for those who wants to take up 3rd Lang.

Heard there's a 5% dropout rate in Yr 3 in NJC???

Not sure about the percentage but I know of the people who were requested to leave 🤷

Not an official intake (like 4-years IP). But i guess might have special cases? (Not sure though, just guessing šŸ˜“ )
For my year there's only scholars and returning Singaporeans who joined in Yr3.

oh dear this is scary!! nj sure is strict, 5 percent rather high šŸ˜“
Well, the cohort is like 200 on average, so with around 10 students not making the criteria of GPA more than 2.0, isn't that 5%?

I think Year 3 probably has one of them more challenging assessments/exams so that those who cannot cope can quickly look for an alternative mainstream secondary school and do the O levels. It's be really too late at Sec 4, right?

Now the school only scouts for Foreign Scholars that they bring in at Year 3 for the IP programme Returning students? Haven't heard about them - I guess they just apply directly to the school under some private arrangement.

Even if they don't have a formal procedure, you can always call up and ask. But the school has the prerogative to refuse.
