Have anyone been to the victoria open house today.I went there to and find it very interesting. However, the space is quite limited. The auditorium is air-conditioned and the school house is quite huge. The food there tastes quite nice and cheap. The CCAs there got all gold and wished to develop pupils into a gentleman, professional and sportman.THe principal’s talk was very interesting with about 5 quizzes. The last question asked was What do you wish to acheive before leaving this school? No one dared to answer except for a boy who raise his hand up.However he forgot the answer and soso,The quizzes also had prizes to been collected.THe best part is the q and a Section when there were many questions asked.I couldnt remember any so i apologize.Oh, if you remembered the quetions,Pls reply e as i want the know what the questions were. The guided tour was quite good as the students explained every secton of the svchool very flunently and precisely. There was a talk about the ip in their school and they have something called electives(optional) The other sections of this open house-I cant remember. I posted this for those who did not go for the open house and have no other reason…If i made any mistakes or unfull article pls quote me or create another post to comment on my writing

The P of my DD's school told us to bring along report book and EZ Link card for identification. (This card can still be used all through January next year)

Also we are advised to bring sufficient cash for books and uniform.

          Btw, you have pm. 😉

I read from other threads,(?) one parent suggested the possible reason this year having many scorers >265-276 is the easy papers, which cannot differentiate the high ability students. I tend to agree with this view.

If you look at the T-score computation formular, you would realize it is the opposite. When the papers are more difficult, the difference between the average mark and the very high marks are bigger, that will result in a higher top T-score (and more people having very high T-scores) compared to other years with easier papers. Whether the papers are hard or easy, the mean T-score should be the same, around 200.

@wonderm is correct that the mean T-score should be around 200. Read page 11 of this PDF document http://www.edgefieldpri.moe.edu.sg/wbn/slot/u2208/Parents_Link/Understanding%20PSLE%20T-scores.pdf
